Leadership
Summit
@Berkeley
Leadership is expected, but rarely taught.

To get into college, you need to have leadership on your application. To get your first job, you need to prove you have leadership potential. To progress your career, you’re expected to manage teams – and be good at it right from the jump – despite spending the first years at work as an individual contributor.
Here at GLO, we believe leadership can be learned and mastered, just like learning to ride a bike. Leadership is not reserved for a select few who were born with it.
The leadership training summit is our flagship program, where we teach you tangible, step-by-step tactics to make you a more effective leader, no matter the field you are pursuing.
You will get the unique opportunity to practice these skills in small groups, learn from trained counselors in industry, and meet others who also want to make a positive difference in the world!
What you will learn
Give your team the “why” behind what you’re all working on. Your teams will naturally prioritize your projects if there is a clear purpose and impact – especially if it’s bold and hard to achieve.
Break down your vision into manageable, actionable checkpoints to align your team toward the right actions. Clearly defining what matters ensures no effort goes to waste.
The success of any project hinges on the quality of the team behind it. Know what to prioritize so you have a well-balanced yet high-performing squad.
Gone are the days of long, unengaging meetings. You’ll become a meeting whiz, able to brainstorm with your team and make group decisions in a matter of minutes as opposed to hours – while keeping everyone happy and involved.
The smallest of tasks can derail a large project. Learn how to get your team to happily volunteer for all tasks, even the undesirable ones such as “taking out the trash after the event”!

Hear from our Alumni
Hear from GLO alumni about how our leadership training empowered them to drive change and shape communities worldwide.
UC Berkeley Alum
"I enjoyed the real-world application of the leadership skills we learned and would recommend this summit for anyone looking to improve their leadership skills, expand their network, and excel in professional settings."
MD/MBA candidate at Dartmouth
"Most people don’t lump the words “doctor” and “leader” together. Thanks to GLO, I have found meaning for my career in medicine and am developing the skills to back that up. There is no better place to have started my journey than with the inspiring, supportive community I have found in GLO."
Co-Founder and CEO of HealthSavvy
"I was much better prepared for my roles as team leader despite our schooling not having any formal leadership training. Last year, I started my own health tech company and the lessons about leadership and creativity have served me through this journey as well."
We welcome individuals with passion, leadership potential, and a drive for social impact.
