Program Deep Dive

Day 1:

Communication & Meeting FoundationsParticipants dove into GLO's signature CVB framework (Content, Voice, Body language) for powerful public speaking. The morning sessions focused on the KSA and RPR leadership frameworks, followed by hands-on practice in meeting management. By the end of Day 1, students who started the day nervous about speaking English were confidently leading group discussions.

Day 2:

Decision-Making & Team LeadershipBuilding on Day 1's foundation, participants practiced situational leadership, learning to adapt their approach to different team dynamics. The highlight was the final leadership challenge, where each small group tackled a real campus issue, applying everything learned—from brainstorming techniques to delegation strategies.

Breakthrough Moments:

One high school student who initially struggled with English gained so much confidence that she volunteered to present her group's project to the entire cohort. A university senior applied the meeting management framework to reorganize his student organization's weekly meetings, reporting immediate improvements in efficiency and team morale.

Watching participants discover their leadership voice is why I keep coming back. This cohort was especially eager to practice—some groups stayed during breaks to get extra reps in.

The quality of questions this winter was exceptional. Participants weren't just absorbing frameworks—they were already thinking about how to adapt them to their unique contexts.

Aiden Lo

What struck me most was how quickly the groups bonded. By Day 2, they weren't just practice partners—they were genuinely invested in each other's growth.

Special Moments

The Ice-Breaking Shield ActivityWithin the first hour, 48 strangers became a supportive community through GLO's signature Personal Shield exercise. Participants shared personal values, challenges, and aspirations, creating immediate vulnerability and trust.

The Final Leadership ChallengeSmall groups tackled real campus issues—from improving student mental health resources to reducing plastic waste. The quality of their presentations, complete with stakeholder analysis and implementation timelines, showcased just how much they'd absorbed in 48 hours.

Surprise Alumni VisitTwo GLO alumni working at Google Taiwan made a surprise appearance, sharing how they still use GLO frameworks three years after their own Summit experience. Their stories made the long-term value of the training tangible and inspiring.

The Standing OvationWhen the final participant finished their closing reflection—a vulnerable share about overcoming public speaking anxiety—the entire room erupted in spontaneous applause. It perfectly captured the supportive, growth-focused culture we'd built together.
